Sussex teachers are working with a large community school in Hailsham, East Sussex to find a part-time PPA cover teacher for 3 days a week. Starting in January 2025, you will cover non-contact time across the primary age range (Reception – Year 6) on a regular Wednesday, Thursday and Friday until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide non-contact time for PPA and sickness cover for the school’s class teachers.
* Teach across EY, KS1 and KS2 classes for a regular 3 days a week for the Spring and Summer terms.
* Teach from an exciting and well-curated curriculum, with high quality lesson plans provided for you to teach from.
* Complete all marking for the sessions you have taught, leaving a high-quality handover (either face to face or written) for the class teacher at the end of the day.
* This regular teaching role does not require the attendance of staff meetings or parents’ evenings.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher status.
* Recent classroom teaching experience within KS1 and KS2.
* A strong commitment to working in partnership with pupils, staff, parents and the community.
* Be exposed to new teaching strategies and a vibrant school culture.
* Develop your classroom management skills, adapt lesson plans, and build resilience in diverse teaching scenarios.
* Build your connections within the local education community, potentially leading to long-term opportunities in the school and wider academy trust.
* Opportunity to teach different year groups and subjects, develop your classroom management skills and key stage/curriculum knowledge.
