This role will have a National working remit with occasional travel to our offices in Nottingham, Sheffield or Leeds for meetings as required, and occasionally to different parts of the country for national stakeholder meetings. Every day you will … The successful candidates will work with multiple clinical and non-clinical stakeholders from across the NHS and Industry. Using your clinical/product experience and knowledge, your role has responsibility for building networks and engaging with healthcare professionals in NHS Trusts and providers to: Understand their requirements for products based on their current operating preferences, patient groups, clinical environment and user groups, and support them in making savings for their area through effective clinical engagement and procurement initiatives. The CEIM will work closely with the relevant category management teams who will provide the contractual support for clinical decisions. Build and manage effective relationships with national programs and initiatives and other healthcare professionals within NHS organisations/providers to ensure the clinical “voice” is captured when product specifications are developed, and services defined. As an experienced professional, you will be cognisant of products across the market and surgical procedures in Ophthalmology. Build and manage relationships with Supplier / industry professionals to support national and regional projects. Provide project leadership and support, ensuring the delivery of quality services that represent best value and understand the key strategic direction of the organisation in order to ensure that processes are adhered to and projects are effectively managed with a clear understanding across different stakeholders. Working with multiple Microsoft platforms in order to fulfil duties – excel working is key (basic training will be given), MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word are utilised frequently. Work with clinicians to optimise their product base and care delivery through product change and service provision, whilst ensuring patient centric care is the focus. Considerations will be for contracts which span Integrated Care Systems. Critically review innovations from the market. They will lead on product evaluations liaising with key national groups, developing product specifications as necessary. Participate in and develop own clinical forums and networks to ensure NHS Supply Chain is appropriately represented and engaged in best practice with up-to-date thinking on products and services. Drive your own development and help to establish a full and comprehensive clinical training program for non-clinical colleagues in NHS Supply Chain.
