Job Description
Are you interested in working for a global, FTSE 100 group of life-saving technology companies, driven by a purpose to create a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day?
Do you want to work in an organisation that has a clear growth trajectory, underpinned by a sustainable M&A strategy, to double earnings every five years?
Would you like to take on a newly created position to help diverse small and medium-sized operating companies create and enhance sustainability and Scope 3 decarbonisation strategies?
Halma plc is seeking a dynamic Sustainability Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in developing and implementing key projects related to the Group’s sustainability strategy, particularly around Scope 3 decarbonisation and transition planning.
Reporting into the Group Head of Sustainability, you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders within the group function and also act as partner for sustainability across the operating companies.
Why the Sustainability Manager position is something you should apply for:
* Halma plc is a FTSE 100 organisation employing approximately 7,000 people, within 50 companies globally.
* Named as one of Britain's Most Admired Companies, Halma’s companies provide innovative products and services that help solve many of the health, environmental and safety problems facing the world today.
* A truly decentralised organisation, Halma gives accountability and ownership to each of their operating companies to grow in their respective sectors and markets.
* With operating companies spanning across multiple sectors, Halma offers a diverse and dynamic work environment enabling employees to engage with a wide range of industries and technologies.
* This role offers an attractive compensation and benefits package.
The successful Sustainability Manager will:
* Possess a proven track record of success in developing and implementing climate change and decarbonisation strategies, particularly around Scope 3, and ideally with experience of setting science-based targets.
* Have multiple years’ experience in corporate sustainability functions within or consulting to manufacturing environments, ideally with exposure to large decentralised organisations or small-medium sized businesses.
* Be an exceptional communicator, both written and verbally, with the ability to work cross functionally and influence across group functions including executive management teams.
* Be able to empower, influence, engage with and work alongside the entrepreneurial leadership teams and operational teams of the operating companies, as well as being a first point of contact for sustainability queries.
