About the Role: Teach History at A Level, inspiring and challenging students to deepen their understanding of historical events and their significance. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Support students in conducting independent research, developing their analytical skills, and preparing for their A Level History examinations. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our History curriculum remains relevant and challenging. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in History education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent (or is eligible to apply). Possesses excellent subject knowledge in History. Demonstrates a passion for teaching History and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment. Has a good understanding of the A Level History specifications and assessment requirements. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
