About the Role: Position: SEMH Learning Support Assistant Location: Basingstoke Pay Rate: £13.86 per hour Start: ASAP Contract: Initially through Teaching Personnel, with a transition to a direct school contract after a short probation period. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with SEMH needs in the classroom and during activities. Helping to implement behaviour strategies and emotional regulation techniques. Building positive and trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff. Encouraging social, emotional, and academic growth in a supportive setting. Requirements: Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs (this could be in a school, care, or support setting). A passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs. Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a school team.
