We have an exciting opportunity available to be part of our finance team at Finance Business Partner level within the Strategic Finance service. This is a newly created additional Finance Business Partner role which will have responsibility for the areas of Children’s and Education.
We pride ourselves on being a supportive finance function that delivers a high standard of professional financial advice across the organisation by making strong relationships with budget managers. We have an exciting and challenging role being part of the Our Future Council programme as well as supporting the Our City: Our Plan priorities.
About You
As Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for managing a team of Finance Managers and Finance Officers, reporting to the Head of Finance.
You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA), with public sector experience, with the drive, determination, and enthusiasm to deliver a high-quality service for those you will support in trying to achieve the aims of the city.
You will have significant post-qualification experience of supporting leadership teams, developing and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders, and producing high-quality reports for management information and decision-making.
Other desirable attributes include experience of working at a senior level on multidisciplinary teams such as on transformational projects and programmes, as well as experience of grant funding.
