An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join the Ashmolean Museum on a permanent basis as part of the Gardens, Libraries and Museums (GLAM) team within the University of Oxford’s Development and Alumni Engagement Office.
About the Role
The Project Officer plays a critical role to support front line fundraising and stewardship across GLAM sites, with a particular focus on the Ashmolean to start. The role requires tact and sensitivity, initiative and determination. The post holder is responsible for drafting outgoing correspondence to key donors, volunteers and potential donors, running bespoke events for the Development and Engagement Office (DAE), and working closely with other staff in DAE to draft project proposals and ensure best practice data upkeep.
It is an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate to play a role in the Museum’s future development and support delivery of its aims and ambitions as part of an engaged and passionate team.
About You
* You will be a good project manager, with an ability to think creatively.
* You will have superlative communication skills, both oral and written.
* You will have a high level of IT proficiency, including database management, Microsoft Office and desktop design/publishing software.
* The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team, sharing office space and everyday administrative tasks.
