Substance Misuse Early Intervention Worker
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Substance Misuse Early Intervention Worker, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients' discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £18.95 - £23.17 per Hour
Responsibilities:
* Deliver targeted support to young people who are at risk of substance misuse, or already engaged in substance misuse, aimed at helping them to reduce or stop their substance misuse and minimising the associated harms.
* Increase awareness of substance misuse through the universal delivery of information, advice, and guidance to support young people in making informed and healthy choices.
* Support young people who are in receipt of substance misuse support to access Youth Development Service activities and opportunities as part of their intervention and upon exiting support.
* Promote early intervention substance misuse project to young people partners such as children services, schools, colleges, police, and third sector groups.
* Work effectively as part of the Youth Development Service team, contributing towards delivery of the local youth offer.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 years experience working with children and young people aged 10-19, particularly young people who are vulnerable.
* Experience of delivering substance misuse preventative and early interventions to young people to support them in making positive and healthy choices and reducing the risk of harm associated with drug or alcohol misuse.

* You should have the right to work in the U.K.
* This role requires an enhanced DBS.
