Are you a passionate Geography teacher looking for a long-term supply role in a supportive and dynamic secondary school? A thriving secondary school in Portsmouth are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from March.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Plan, prepare, and assess student's work to ensure progress and attainment.
* Mark and provide constructive feedback in line with school policies.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
* Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all students, supporting differentiation and inclusion.
* Work collaboratively with the Humanities department to enhance the curriculum.
* Contribute to school life, including attending staff meetings and parents' evenings when required.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
* Is confident in planning and delivering high-quality lessons.
* Has experience in assessing and tracking student progress.
* Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
* Is committed to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
