Your Role as a KS1 SEN Class Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, multi-sensory lessons tailored to students with SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties. Differentiate the KS1 curriculum to ensure accessibility and individual progress for each child. Foster a positive and structured classroom environment, promoting confidence and independence in young learners. Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and therapists to implement EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Use adaptive teaching techniques to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities. Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to education. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support continued development. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ✅ Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a specialist or inclusive KS1 setting. ✅ A creative, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching. ✅ Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and early childhood education. ✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
