Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to take on the pivotal role of Head of Procurement for Finning UK & Ireland.
The successful candidate will oversee the entirety of the Non-Cat supply of products and services, including Fleet management. This role is designed for an individual ready to develop and execute a procurement strategy that not only aligns with the immediate needs of our business but also positions us for future success.
A critical part of this role includes ensuring that our supply chain is managed with high-quality suppliers who are rigorously selected to contribute to our commitment to excellence in product and service delivery to our stakeholders and customers. Additionally, this role requires a collaborative spirit to work in concert with global procurement teams, maximising opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions
* Develop and deliver procurement function strategic goals and Key Performance Indicators (e.g., cost reduction, process improvements, and standardisation) through dedicated management and active participation with the regional operations teams and global supply chain team.
* Oversee and drive procurement and vendor management’s strategic objectives at the local levels.
* Ensure the implementation of and compliance with negotiated contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
* Develop and maintain close alignment with Global Procurement to deliver corporate objectives within Regional operational requirements and strategies.
* Partner and liaise with and influence internal business partners to ensure early involvement and optimal use of procurement and supplier tools, processes and systems. Build strong relationships with other key departments to influence wider business thinking and to adopt a more collaborative approach through our teams.
* Mentor and support project management concepts in the planning and execution of procurement projects.
* Provide direction and clearly communicate targets to teams, measuring performance against agreed targets.
* Identify training and development opportunities to increase skills and improve performance. Develop the capability and skill set of the Procurement Team.
* Development of strategic relationships with key suppliers.
* Embed a robust and sustainable supplier management process and culture within the business. Ensuring the necessary Management and tools (Framework Agreements, SLA, Warranty) required are installed, utilised and leveraged to best results of the business.

Knowledge:
* Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain management.
* Understanding of strategic procurement.
* Knowledge of commercial/contractual practices (desirable).
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or equivalent experience in a related field.
* Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic procurement plans.
* Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in inventory management and procurement operations.
* Strong leadership experience in managing functional activities and tasks through direct reports, managerial planning and integrating support activities.
* Significant working experience in supply chain planning and procurement.
* Extensive experience leading/managing/supervising direct reports.
* Experience within a large organisation with a proven track record of influencing authority at all levels and implementing supply chain strategies.
* Full CIPS Membership (desirable).
* Previous experience of leading in a global organisation (desirable).
