As the business continues to grow, our client is seeking an experienced Land Director to take full leadership of their land operations, from strategic site identification through to acquisition, planning, and delivery.
This is a board-level role, reporting directly to the regional Managing Director, and offers significant influence over the future direction of the company’s land portfolio and overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Contribute at board level, taking a “whole-business” approach to leadership and growth.
* Help shape company-wide strategic plans and ensure land functions align with wider business objectives.
Land Acquisition & Appraisal
* Identify and secure immediate and strategic land opportunities that support long-term growth.
* Lead negotiations and oversee internal and external input for professional appraisals and business cases.
* Take accountability for securing implementable planning consents and ensuring acquisitions meet forecast and budget.
Team & Departmental Leadership
* Lead and develop the Land team, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
* Ensure recruitment, development, and succession planning are aligned with company needs.
* Oversee departmental compliance with company policies, financial controls, and health & safety requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Market Profile
* Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, landowners, agents, and external consultants.
* Represent the business across the regional market and act as a key face for new opportunities and negotiations.
Affordable Housing Delivery
* Oversee the full lifecycle of affordable housing transactions from tender to completion, ensuring timely and profitable delivery aligned with project timelines.
