We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Owner to join our Wiley Open Access Dashboard team. A Senior Product Owner plays a crucial role in the development of high-quality software that aligns with customer needs and business objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of both the technical and business aspects of software development, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. The Senior Product Owner is responsible for defining requirements, performing impact analyses for assigned initiatives, and working with relevant business stakeholders to drive decision-making and delivery of effective, efficient solutions.
How you will make an impact:
* Analyze and re-engineer business processes: Use a comprehensive understanding of business problems and solutions to evaluate and revamp existing processes, ensuring alignment with the current and future business environment. This supports strategic initiatives and overall organizational goals.
* Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders and Product Managers to gather detailed business requirements through various techniques such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process workflows, value stream mapping, storyboards, and use case scenarios.
* Develop work plans: Formulate structured work plans and define overall approaches for each initiative, ensuring clarity and direction for the development teams.
* Mentor and guide team members: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Product Owners and Business Analysts, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
* Provide subject matter expertise: Offer specialized knowledge to support the definition of business requirements, process design, and the implementation of processes across all work teams.
* Evaluate business requirements: Break down high-level information into functional requirements, ensuring that these requirements are based on business needs rather than user preferences, and resolve any conflicts that arise.
