We are looking to appoint a Senior Property Surveyor who will report to the Senior Manager Property Management and Information as part of the property management team including the management of the Property Management team. As the manager of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking complex property management activities including supporting the strategic asset management plan, property strategies and financial requirements.
You will provide clear and concise property management advice including the preparation of reports for committees and panels together with attendance at such meetings as required. You will be responsible for managing the property management team including setting work programmes and targets for the team members.
You will be required to allocate and manage the undertaking of inspections, valuations, negotiations, acquisitions and disposals of all types of land and property from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for signing off new lettings, rent reviews and lease renewals to maximise the revenue returns from the City Council’s non-operational estate ensuring that the team meet required performance standards and key performance indicators.
You will have proven technical skills and experience within a similar role and have professional credibility and have an ongoing personal commitment to continuous self-development and professionally keeping up to date with any changes or new trends.
You will have extensive knowledge of prevailing legislation relating to commercial property including but not limited to Landlords and Tenants Acts.
Qualifications
You will be expected to be technically qualified to degree level and be professionally qualified from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent with an extensive practical application of knowledge post professional qualification.
