About the Role As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of all service projects within a defined region, from contract receipt through to completion. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating service works, ensuring that project management, site labor resources, materials, plant, and subcontractors are scheduled, allocated, and managed effectively. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Ensure all projects are planned, managed, and delivered safely and efficiently. Budget Management: Oversee the commercial and contractual elements of each project, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets. Quotation Development: Arrange the scoping of site works and support the production of accurate quotations for service projects. Sales Support: Assist the Project and Service sales teams in maximizing business opportunities. Progress Tracking: Provide regular updates on project plans to enable accurate turnover forecasting and labor scheduling. Health & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety in accordance with current legislation and company policies. Team Management: Lead, develop, and manage the Service team within the region, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Continuous Improvement: Foster a mindset of continuous improvement within the team to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. About You The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing service projects, with proven leadership skills and the ability to develop and stablise a team of Project Engineers. You should be adept at planning and delivering service works safely, on budget, and on time. Key Experience and Skills Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline. Management Experience: Previous experience in managing service projects and leading a team of Project Engineers. Industry Knowledge: Experience within the water industry (Wastewater or Clean Water). Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of forecasting, construction contracts, and change management. Organisational Skills: Exceptional planning and organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Subcontractor Management: Experience in managing subcontractors effectively. Customer Relations: Proven ability to engage with key customers professionally. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project and 3D CAD software; familiarity with FEA systems. What's on Offer Competitive Salary: up to £63,000 per annum.
