The post holder must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to work autonomously. The role requires an ability to act as an expert resource, provider and role model within clinical areas with a flexible and adaptable approach, responding to the demands within the Trust. Main duties of the job You will share clinical skills and knowledge in collaboration with educational plans, to ensure on-going clinical competency validation, alongside core skills and essential education for clinical staff. The role will focus on improving quality and efficiency in clinical care, through education, to enhance positive patient care outcomes. In addition to delivering classroom based education, there is an expectation that the successful candidate will work with clinical staff in the operating theatre department to ensure that competency assessments are carried out in a timely manner to improve patient care. Experience of teaching, supervising and assessing healthcare students in the practice setting and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. Willingness to pursue a Master's level qualification in education will also be expected if the applicant is not already working towards this qualification.
