Urgently seeking a talented and experienced Design Drafts/CAD Engineer to join this dynamic team based in East Scotland. As a leading supplier of downhole tools and equipment for directional drilling and well completion applications, this client seeks an experienced candidate who can evidence a minimum of 3-5 years of previous, relevant experience. Best suited to a candidate who can demonstrate working with varied high-value, high-strength precision components and steel for the oilfield industry.
Job Description: As a Design Drafts/CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and designs for downhole and wells engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed CAD drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
* Collaborate with engineers to create accurate and functional designs for downhole tools and equipment.
* Review and modify existing designs to improve performance and efficiency.
* Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
* Prepare technical documentation and reports as required.
* Assist in the development of new products and technologies.
Qualifications:
* Educated to Degree Level Engineering – Mechanical Design or similar
* Proven experience as a Design Drafts/CAD Engineer in downhole and wells engineering.
* Proficiency in CAD software and SolidWorks.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
