MAIN PURPOSE:
To carry out the external and internal maintenance of the building, equipment and grounds.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for carrying out maintenance duties as and when required. This includes basic electrical, painting, plumbing, carpentry and door adjustment repairs within the centre.
2. Responsible to ensure workspaces are kept clean, clear and free of obstruction.
3. To take reasonable care of all items of equipment used to carry out tasks, including general cleanliness and advising on faults and need for maintenance or replacement of same.
4. To carry out periodic inspections and checks and update the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) log.
5. Responsible to receive and distribute deliveries and dispose of domestic and clinical waste safely and in line with local procedures and health & safety legislation.
6. All successful candidates are subject to compliance checks including 3 years of checkable references and DBS / PVG checks.

ABOUT YOU:
1. A valid driving license.
2. Ability to work as part of a team.
3. Ability to work closely with service users and communicate effectively with them.
4. Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
5. Able to work within policies and procedures.
6. Skilled in a range of maintenance procedures.
7. Able to demonstrate the application of Health and Safety practices, COSHH and other relevant legislation.
8. Basic IT skills.
9. Basic numeracy skills.
