Let's Make Warwickshire the Best It Can Be!
About Us:
In Warwickshire, working with people is our passion. We always 'start with strengths' with our residents and our team. Our Social Care and Support Service is committed to maximising strengths to enable adults to achieve their desired outcomes, meet their needs, and improve or maintain their wellbeing.
Our Learning Disability Team is committed to supporting individuals in leading fulfilling and independent lives. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Occupational Therapist to join our Learning Disability Team, which consists of Social Care Practitioners, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.
About the Role:
As one of our Occupational Therapists, you’ll be working in a multi-agency environment and undertake assessments as directed by the Senior Occupational Therapist. You will be flexible, innovative and have an up-to-date knowledge and experience of legislation and policies in the social care arena. You’ll manage a caseload of individuals with a wide range of needs, including those with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), physical disabilities, mental health conditions, and their families.
You will carry out functional, risk and standardised assessments; develop support plans with customers and carers; and assist the wider team as necessary. You’ll be responsible for prescribing assistive technology, equipment and minor adaptations, providing effective OT interventions to support people in remaining as independent as possible, identifying strengths and meeting their assessed outcomes.
As a strong team player, you will contribute to the development and promotion of the Learning Disability Service. The post is permanent, and we welcome applications from experienced, newly qualified, and soon-to-be-qualified candidates.
What We Offer:
* A supportive and collaborative working environment.
* Comprehensive benefits package including staff discounts, car lease scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, coaching and counselling, agile working, flexible base locations, generous holiday allowance with the option to purchase additional annual leave, manageable caseload, and good quality supervision and peer support.
* Continuous Professional Development opportunities delivered by our Service Development and Assurance Team, including Chartered Management Institute (CMI) apprenticeships.
* Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
* Competitive salary and benefits package.
* Flexible working arrangements.
