Manufacturing Engineer - Solid State Joining

What you will be doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide technical support to operations and execute engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve solid state joining process for linear friction welded blisk manufacture. Previous process experience is not essential, as training will be provided.
You will also use methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time (SQCD).
Key Responsibilities
* HSE - Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm programme.
* Product Safety - Ensure that manufacturing processes can achieve and sustain the design definition, and that processes are followed so that our products and those of our suppliers conform to their specification. Rigorously raise, investigate, and resolve safety-related issues.
* Quality - Drive a culture of zero defects within the organization. Work with all functions to reduce risk and drive product Right First Time. Ensure compliance with all relevant company, legislative, and technical policies and standards including RRMS, SABRe, and Export Control and Intellectual Property requirements.
* Technical Authority - Ensure application of manufacturing process controls within their area of accountability, with authorization subject to appropriate delegation. Act as MEA or PCA signatory, where applicable.
* Requirements - Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved manufacturing processes, digital systems, and technologies to meet current or future requirements.
* Develop Capability - Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, digital systems, and/or methods of manufacture which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time. Capture, analyze, and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.
Who we're looking for
* Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or other national equivalent)
* General understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to their business
* General awareness of Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools relevant to the business
* Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering processes relevant to their role
