The Role
We are looking for a DTC Trading Manager to take ownership of our direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales performance, optimising conversion rates and maximising revenue across our digital channels. This role spans e-commerce, marketing, merchandising, and analytics, ensuring that our online channel is performing at its best.
What you’ll be doing
* Own the DTC revenue target and drive strategies to maximise sales.
* Monitor and analyse key trading metrics, including AOV, conversion rate, customer acquisition cost, and lifetime value.
* Identify opportunities to increase revenue through promotions, bundling, upselling, and cross-selling.
* Ensure the website is always up to date with product launches, seasonal changes, and promotional campaigns.
* Optimise product pages, pricing, and promotions to maximise conversion rates.
* Work with UX/UI teams to enhance the customer journey and improve site performance.
Promotions & Pricing Strategy
* Plan and execute promotional campaigns, including discounts, bundles, and gift-with-purchase offers.
* Collaborate with finance and marketing teams to ensure promotions align with profitability targets.
* Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Shopify, and Lifetimely to track customer behaviour.
* Identify trends and insights to inform marketing, product, and website decisions.
* Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly.
Stock & Inventory Management
* Work with supply chain and operations teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
* React quickly to slow-moving stock or supply chain disruptions to minimise impact on sales.
Collaboration with Other Teams
* Work closely with marketing, performance, and CRM teams to ensure alignment on customer acquisition, retention, and promotional strategies.
* Collaborate with product and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of new product launches.
Performance Reporting & KPIs
* Regularly report on trading performance, conversion rates, customer insights, and key metrics.
* Provide data-driven recommendations to improve sales and efficiency.
What you’ll bring to the role
* Strong Analytical Mindset- You’ll be comfortable working with data, using insights to make informed decisions that drive revenue and optimise performance. A deep understanding of key e-commerce metrics such as conversion rates, AOV, and customer lifetime value is essential.
* Commercial Awareness- You understand the financial aspects of e-commerce, including pricing strategies, margin control, and profitability analysis. You can balance sales growth with maintaining healthy margins, ensuring promotions and pricing decisions are commercially viable.
* E-commerce & Digital Trading Experience- You have experience working with e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify or Magento) and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, GA4, and Lifetimely). You know how to leverage these tools to optimise sales and improve customer experience.
* Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving- You can spot opportunities for growth, whether through promotional activity, customer retention initiatives, or improvements to the online shopping experience. You take a proactive approach to identifying and solving trading challenges.
* Strong Communication & Collaboration Skills- You’ll be working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and product teams. The ability to communicate insights, align stakeholders, and drive collaborative decision-making is key.
* Organised & Detail-Oriented- You can manage multiple projects at once, stay on top of deadlines, and ensure the smooth execution of trading strategies. Attention to detail is crucial when managing pricing, promotions, and inventory.
