Staff One are working with our well established long standing client based in Sheffield. Due to expansion our client is looking to recruit a full time Electrician to work Monday to Friday.
This role offers an excellent base salary, door to door travel paid, company vehicle and other benefits, including a higher rate for paid over time, company vehicle which can be used for personal use & fuel card.
Overall Job Responsibilities
A qualified Electrician is responsible for delivering works and ensuring that these works are completed to a satisfactory quality in line with timeframes set by the Contracts Manager, in line with our client's operational procedures and techniques for both Residential and SME properties.
1. Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring.
2. Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts.
3. Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards, including in fire alarms and security systems.
4. Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting, heating systems, and alarms.
5. Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
6. Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction.
7. Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions.
8. Install electrical systems to 17th edition wiring regulations, including installing heating and cooling systems.
9. Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
10. Possess working knowledge of Siemens Building Management Systems and Phillips lighting systems.
11. Evidence projects with before and after photographs.
12. Review scopes and feedback to project manager of any changes.
13. Deliver works within the timeframe set by the Contracts manager.
14. Keep sites clean and tidy at all times.
15. Liaise with the Service Centre and customer to ensure that they are regularly informed of the status of all live ongoing projects.
16. Ensure that Quality, Management, and Health & Safety procedures are both understood and fully implemented. Advising insured’s, where applicable, of the operation and safety of all plant and equipment including the provision of safety data sheets when necessary.
17. Provide flexible resourcing to assist any other trade or restoration technician as and when required.
18. Travel anywhere in the UK to deliver projects.
Skills & Qualifications
1. Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 Qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391).
2. Demonstrate familiarity with NAPIT requirements.
