You will simply need to be willing to learn and really get stuck in to your new role as a domiciliary care assistant Entry Requirements - This position is based across SO14-SO19 regions, such as Milbrook, Lordshill, Bitterne, Thornhill, Central etc. Must have a UK driving licence & regular access to your own car, and be happy to travel across these areas. Our shift patterns are 7am-2pm & 4pm-10pm. Care Assistant's will need to be flexible to work 1-2 evenings a week and alternate weekends, to ensure everybody has some weekends off. Must be based in UK at point of applying. About the Care Assistant Role - As a Care Assistant, you will travel around Southampton SO14-SO19 areas, to visit our customers in their own homes & support them to live as independently as possible. Each customer will have their own care plans tailored specifically to their needs; care is not a one size fits all industry & so no two care visits will be the same. You will build rapport with customers & spend quality time with them to ensure they are still able to actively socialise & enjoy our company. You may take a customer out to the beach for the day or play board games with them at home. Care Assistant's make a real effort to get to know their customer & build a good relationship with them to ensure you can suggest activities that they will enjoy. Generally, other responsibilities may include - Assisting with personal hygiene – assisting customers with washing, dressing & continence care, or promoting independence and encouraging them to do these things if they can always maintaining dignity & respect.
