Job Title: Business Analyst

Position summary: To continuously analyze the organization, its operations, S2P and KPIs results. Review business processes/systems, ensuring and assessing the business KPIs are achievable. To identify continuous improvements in the quality of the services being delivered by the service departments. To support the development of new projects mainly providing post-implementation support.
Main Duties:
* Identify Company Improvements, handling daily business issues that impact the Company KPI results.
* Analyze processes and develop solutions to present to department heads and the SMT.
* Recognize business opportunities for S2P (safety, environmental, quality, cost, delivery, morale, and productivity) to support the company in attaining these goals.
* Continuously work to expand, preserve and improve the company’s procedures whilst adhering to business and group policies and regulatory guidelines.
* Assist and support the Senior Management Team and Business sections with projects and business continuous improvements.
* Deploy all systems, methods, and controls across all areas of the business.
* Ensure a monthly report of all actions, improvements, and project timelines are completed to show clearly activities and improvements identified.
* Identify areas that are not in keeping with company regulations, by regularly auditing/analysing process flows, reports, company procedures, work instructions, etc. Ensuring that all written instructions are clear, concise, and unambiguous.
* Develop and document processes and tools to support management understanding through business analytics.
* Ensure the financial aspects and impact of contracts and expenditure are clear to all parties.
* Resolve contractual and commercial problems.
* Ensure the company runs both effectively and efficiently, analyzing trends and identifying improvements.
* Ensure adherence to compliance, GDPR, and information security rules and regulations.
Health & Safety:
To ensure the health, safety, and welfare of ALL staff specifically within the department. Carry out relevant Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work where necessary. All accidents and near misses are to be reported and countermeasures implemented as required, within a suitable time frame.
Quality:
Work towards relevant standards and procedures, to ensure all engineering improvements have been formulated with the quality of the product in mind. Assist with any of the production teams' quality issues and propose engineering solutions to reduce the DAS levels. Ensure control of all documentation in line with our ISO standards and internal procedures.
Cost:
Ensure all parts stock including critical spares are managed in line with departmental needs. Track all departmental spending on a controlled document. Obtain multiple quotes and vendors to ensure quality of purchased items and cost of new components to try and reduce costs.
Delivery:
Ensure all work is focused around the achievement of plans and ensuring optimum line performance. Any delay is communicated to the relevant members, propose solutions to any line stoppages to ensure maximum uptime. Work with production staff and other departments to ensure access to lines for the required works or modifications, as and when required.
Productivity:
Ensure that continuous improvement is a focus on all engineering projects. Support achievement of Q2E projects across the production departments as required. Ensure all improvement works are controlled from cradle to grave and all relevant members are kept informed as the project progresses. Utilize the MUDA process to remove any unnecessary tasks.
Morale:
Ensure good two-way communication between all members of the department. Help with any training requirements to operate the machine not only safely but also efficiently.
Environmental:
Ensure all activities are carried out in line with the company’s policies and procedures with special attention to turning off unused equipment, lights, etc. All waste streams are correctly segregated.
Kaizen:
Investigate, propose and apply continuous process improvements and ideas. Promote and encourage companywide activities (Suggestion Scheme, SGAs, 5S, TQC Activities).
Skills/Attributes Required:
* Ability to write clear and compelling process documentation and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Good understanding of data analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
* Sound analytical background and data analysis competencies, including PowerBI.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to prioritize, multitask as well as work independently.
* Ability to maintain quality of work while meeting multiple deadlines as required.
* Familiarity with accounting practices (required).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (required).
* Comfortable looking at transformation across a high number of systems and business units.
Be comfortable presenting and updating at Senior Management level.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Recently qualified, part qualified or qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant.
Desired:
* NEBOSH Managing Safely.
Experience:
Required:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on change management and business process reengineering.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent spreadsheet skills - Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail.
Desired:
* Understanding of manufacturing measurables.
