THE OPPORTUNITY: SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT
We are confidentially searching for a seasoned Senior Superintendent to take the helm of a flagship $300M project in the Western GTA region.
This is a pivotal role for an experienced construction leader who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments. As the lead Superintendent, you will oversee all onsite operations for a landmark project, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency while fostering strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades, and stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead On-Site Operations: Oversee all aspects of site management from mobilization to closeout, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
* Champion Safety & Quality: Implement and enforce rigorous safety standards while maintaining the highest level of construction quality.
* Drive Project Success: Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders to proactively address challenges and deliver outstanding results.
* Mentor & Lead Teams: Provide leadership and mentorship to site teams, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
* Monitor Progress: Develop and maintain schedules, monitor progress, and ensure the timely completion of milestones.
* Build Strong Relationships: Act as the face of the project onsite, nurturing productive relationships with clients, trades, and consultants.
WHAT YOU BRING
* 20 years of progressive experience in construction, with at least 10 years as a lead Superintendent on projects valued at $50M.
* Proven expertise in managing large, complex projects, ideally in institutional, commercial, or mixed-use sectors.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of mentoring and guiding site teams.
* A deep understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost management.
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to safety and quality.

SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work with pre-construction services and provide support, including development of site logistics, project schedule, phasing, design, and constructability review, and budget development.
* Manage site staff allocation, quality control, subtrade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control, and safety.
* Coordinate scopes of work with subcontractors.
* Maintain relationships with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
* Monitor compliance with company and site safety programs and documents, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
* Take an active role in the hiring, training, and monitoring of field personnel.
* Work in conjunction with the project manager to manage the project schedule, specifically as it pertains to production.
* Create a 3-week look ahead for all site staff to understand project progress and staging.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 15 years of construction experience and a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity role with a General Contractor.
* Trade ticket, Diploma, or Degree in Construction Engineering or Architectural Science.
* Experience building commercial, institutional, or medical facility interiors projects would be an asset.
* Proven ability to manage project values from $1M to $30M.
* Proven ability to lead mid-sized teams.
* Knowledge of construction engineering and design.
* Knowledge of standard construction software and management processes.
