Overview
St. Peter’s Brewery is a renowned craft brewery located in the picturesque village of St Peter South Elmham, near Bungay in Suffolk. We are committed to producing high-quality beers that celebrate traditional brewing methods & quality ingredients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Administrator/Management Accountant to join our small but expanding team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join the business during an exciting time of growth.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Produce monthly management reports and KPIs.
* Process monthly and weekly payment runs.
* Credit control and management of debtors.
* Reconcile finished stock on a weekly and month-end basis.
* Reconcile and value all stock items monthly.
* Calculate product costings for all SKUs.
* Prepare and post month-end journals, including calculating and posting accruals and prepayments.
* Maintain the fixed asset register and post monthly depreciation journals.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and flash reports in a timely manner.
* Prepare additional reports, such as customer P&L reports and product profitability reports.
* Complete weekly KPI reports.
* HMRC submissions including beer duty submissions and VAT.
* Conduct cash flow forecasting and manage day-to-day cash flow.
* Prepare audit files and year-end reports.
* Provide support to the Finance Director as needed.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
* Answer the telephone, assisting with queries as part of the office team.
* Occasionally serve customers in the shop, taking turns with colleagues.
* Provide cover for other office roles during staff holidays or sickness.
Key Requirements:
* Part qualified or full professional membership desired, but not essential.
* Experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
* Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, macros).
* Ability to work well as part of a team and manage a variety of tasks.
* Familiarity with accounting software.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
* Own transport due to remote location with no public transport.

* Working hours: Monday to Thursday – 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm although some flexibility will be required, with half an hour for lunch.
