Finance Assistant (12 Month FTC) Exeter, Devon 12 Month Fixed Term Contract £24,000 - £26,500 Our valued client, an esteemed non-profit organisation located in the South West region, is currently seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting various finance operations, with a primary focus on managing the Purchase Ledger function. The main objective of this position is to ensure the effective management of both the purchase and sales ledgers through the implementation of robust and efficient processes. The responsibilities: Process purchase orders, invoices, and supplier payments promptly Reconcile supplier statements and resolve issues Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and debt recovery Administer accounting processes (cash receipts, online payments, petty cash, credit card purchases) Maintain financial records and central financial system Respond to staff and customer queries Support schools with financial systems and controls Provide high-quality financial management, information, and customer service The candidate: GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above), proficiency in MS Office, and experience with financial procedures and systems. Proven experience in a similar accounts support role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
