Your new role
As a Buyer in the operations and supply chain team, you will support in driving cost reductions and enhancing supplier performance. The Buyer role is pivotal in managing the procurement and control of parts, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procure products and ensure on-time delivery of quality materials within budget.
2. Manage the delivery flow of parts and services, addressing any issues promptly.
3. Foster strong relationships with key business stakeholders and suppliers.
4. Conduct supplier reviews and ensurepliance with contractualmitments.
5. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
6. Introduce supply chain control mechanisms to support manufacturing operations.
7. Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Degree qualified or CIPS qualified or substantial relevant hands-on experience.
9. Minimum 3 years’ hands on experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record in the execution of buying, forecasting and replenishment, SIOP, RCCP, MPS, MRP, where customer requirements can change regularly
10. Proven track record of hands-on experience & excellent working knowledge of MRP & ERP systems.
11. Experience on driving process improvement. Must have a proven track records and experience of on time meeting targets in a manufacturing environment.
12. Strong customer & supplier management experience.
