We are seeking somebody to take on the dual role of Receptionist/Administrator and Teaching Partner at Hunts Grove Primary. From 8.30am to 10.30am each day you will work in our school office, supporting our School Administrator. You will then join our teaching and learning team as a Teaching Partner, where you will collaborate with our Teachers to create engaging learning experiences for our pupils.
A separate fixed-term contract for each role, starting asap for the remainder of this academic year.
We are a growing school situated in the new Hunts Grove development on the edge of Gloucester. We will eventually grow to be a two form entry primary school, with pre-school, and are housed in a new building in the heart of the development. Main responsibilities:
Receptionist/Administrator
* To work in the school office from 8.30am to 10.30am each morning, supporting the School Administrator during this very busy time of day.
* To provide a high quality, professional administrative support service to all stakeholders, including colleagues, pupils, parents and school visitors.
Teaching Partner
* To provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the pupils and the classroom.
* To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
* To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop.
* To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
You will need:
* Experience of working in a busy environment and working to deadlines under pressure.
* Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant and, preferably, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent training for Teaching Assistants.
* A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunities.
* The ability to work co-operatively and flexibly in a team situation.
* Ability to relate well with children and adults.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
