JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Support Assistant

Job Duties:
* Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
* Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEN students
* Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment
* Help students with academic tasks and personal care needs as required
* Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Education:
Relevant training in SEN support or education is preferred
Experience:
Prior experience working with individuals with SEN is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of SEN support strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate or Diploma in SEN Support
Working Conditions:
This role may require standing for extended periods and assisting students with physical needs. The work environment includes a classroom setting within an educational institution.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
