Role Description:
The Global Payment Operations (GPO) organization delivers global wire transfers and ACH payments for internal and external bank clients and supports end-to-end payment execution and investigations for transactions initiated through various channels. The Senior Business Control Specialist (SBCS) is an important part of the internal control environment for the Global Payments Operations Front Line Unit (FLU) and is a key player in supporting the Bank’s Risk Framework. This role is responsible for audit and exam management including direct and indirect audit exam interaction, regulatory responses, issues management, and oversight of the issues management lifecycle.
This job is responsible for driving and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support for LOB or ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards.
* Support the monitoring and testing of controls by evaluating data to identify issues and control improvements for remediation.
* Implement optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts.
* Conduct and coordinate quality inspection reviews to enhance employee performance and control effectiveness.
* Perform QA activities including executing on controls, managing cases, and reporting results.
* Execute initiatives by identifying areas of potential testing automation, procedural updates, thematic trends, and coaching opportunities to enhance QA program success.
* Support the overall management of, and research required for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews.
What we are looking for:
* Experience in the Audit, Compliance, or Risk function of a large financial services company, multi-national company, public accounting firm, or regulatory agency.
* Proven experience of managing multiple projects at once, prioritizing workloads.
* Excellent written and verbal communications, including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
* Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities; able to develop and convey a point of view.
* Ability to manage risk and assess trade-offs when making business recommendations.
Skills that will help:
* Knowledge of Bank of America business processes and front-end application systems.
* Knowledge of Single Process Inventory and Issue Management.
* Proficient in Collaborations site.
