Join the team on a staff basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing complete project control support and management to both Projects and Proposals, either as part of a large project team or covering all planning and scheduling, cost, and document control aspects on smaller projects.
Your responsibilities:
1. Reports to the Project Controls & Business Director.
2. Manages planning, cost, and document control functions.
3. Manages and leads all activities related to project planning and controls, cost management and reporting, contract administration, and risk management across a programme of work.
4. Responsibilities typically include:
1. Project controls: reporting, forecasting, and cost control.
2. Planning.

4. Administration services, including secretarial and clerical services.
5. Translation services.
6. Variations.
7. Invoicing.
8. Project risk management.
9. Information management and systems.
5. Responsible for timely issue of project control deliverables and progress reports across all engineering projects.
6. Provide management leadership to all planning engineers, cost engineers, and document control staff to plan, monitor, and control the execution of projects within the time and budget parameters, optimising resource utilisation.
7. Supports the Project Controls & Business Director in developing processes, procedures, and practices to efficiently manage the engineering portfolio.
8. Supports the Engineering Management Team in identifying issues that could limit progress or impact project budgets or quality of delivery.
9. Interfaces with the client.
10. Analyse project requirements during setup and assist with the appropriate controls needed for effective project delivery.
11. Oversee planning and scheduling on projects to ensure schedules are in line with the delivery requirements through the application of appropriate processes and procedures.
12. Develop systems and procedures for project control functions on the project, as and when there are additional requirements from the client.
13. Maintain effective controls to ensure timely initiation, preparation of time and cost-related variations and claims.
14. Advise Project Controls & Business Director on compiling support documents for potential claims, prepares advance defense for issues that are likely to evolve during project execution.
15. Develop and maintain consistent project work breakdown structures and project control budgets across the portfolio of engineering projects.
16. Ensure the department maintains appropriate standardized client and management cost reports, progress, and schedule reports across all projects in line with the required reporting levels and contract requirements.
17. Ensure change control systems are implemented across all projects, evaluate discipline change notices, determine cost and schedule impact of all affected areas.
18. Ensure timely project reporting across all projects to an appropriate level of detail which gives early warning of adverse performance trends.
19. Support in the negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, agency, consultant, sponsorship, joint venture, consortium, bidding, confidentiality, MOU, and other types and forms of agreements.
20. Supervise and develop contract pricing summaries for proposals as required.
21. Consult Quality Assurance with any quality issues ensuring compliance with ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality plan, and Design Integrity processes and procedures.
22. Coordinate Internal and Client audit requests and facilitate audit procedures of engineering systems within the department.
23. Comply with other accredited frameworks such as ISO 14001.
24. Perform related duties as and when instructed by the direct supervisor.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
1. Capable of performing duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
2. Understands the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks through the project progress measurement system.
3. Capable of using initiative, knowledge, and experience to recognize, highlight, and address opportunities and threats as they emerge.
