Term time only (plus 4 weeks)
Monday to Friday (8:30am to 4:30pm)
Maternity Cover (9-12 months)
Start date: 19th May (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Job role
We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our wonderful school and work with our exceptional learners and staff. We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to cover a period of maternity leave and provide support to new learners transitioning successfully into school. The appointed person will be the key point of contact for young people and families during their transitional phase, supporting the families of new learners during the initial transition period by developing a trusting relationship between home and school.
Among other responsibilities you will:
● Actively support and contribute to transition plans for new learners.
● Work collaboratively with the Wilds Lodge safeguarding team and the respective teaching staff to create initial safety plans and support plans for new learners in readiness for their transition into school.
● Use a multi-disciplinary approach to identify needs and support new learners and families through the admission and transition period when joining Wilds Lodge School.
● Identify any arising issues and plan preventative support so these can be addressed prior to admission.
