Hybrid Working is Available for this Role (est. 3 days on site) A new role has arisen for a Chief Engineer with a background in Defence to work on some of the latest technologies combatting challenges raised in air, land and sea where GPS ceases to become reliable. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical execution of projects involving advanced GPS, RF systems, anti-jamming technologies, and weapons system integration. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of these domains, with a focus on systems engineering for complex applications. This individual will serve as the technical authority, ensuring that projects meet stringent and complex requirements and are delivered with precision and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Serve as the principal technical authority on projects related to anti-jamming, GPS, RF, and weapon systems, guiding teams to execute complex defence solutions. Deep Technical Expertise: Apply an in-depth understanding of systems engineering to lead the design, architecture, integration, and optimization of complex defence systems, ensuring technical feasibility and operational effectiveness. Anti-Jamming Solutions: Oversee the development of advanced anti-jamming technologies for GPS and RF systems, ensuring resilience against interference and cyber threats in contested environments. RF Systems Development: Manage the development of secure RF communication systems Problem-Solving: Address complex technical challenges with hands-on problem-solving, leveraging deep expertise in anti-jamming, GPS, and RF systems to troubleshoot and optimize performance. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key technical interface with clients and partners, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and delivering solutions that meet or exceed standards. Research & Innovation: Lead research and development efforts for next-generation technologies in anti-jamming, RF, and weapons systems, positioning the company at the forefront of defence innovation. UK Security Clearance will be required for this role.
