The Opportunity
Due to continuing growth within the organisation and new project wins across the buildings and infrastructure sectors, we are seeking to expand our Finance team with a Financial Accountant. You will be working with a high performing, service-oriented and collaborative team.

This is an exciting time for Robert Bird Group, as we go through expansion and have a growing portfolio of landmark buildings and infrastructure projects such as Olympia redevelopment, One Liverpool Street, Sydney Metro, HS2, One Leadenhall, One Waterloo development and many more.
Duties
1. Assist the Finance Manager and Senior Management Accountant with the preparation and presentation of monthly financial results, updates to financial forecasts and financial performance measures of the Group
2. Perform reconciliation of balance sheet & P&L accounts
3. Prepare accounting adjustment journals (including, but not limited to, IFRS 16 Leases, depreciation, accruals)
4. Assist in Bank & Cash management and preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts
5. Maintain the fixed asset register
6. Assist with quarterly VAT and Corporation Tax preparation
7. Aid two existing Finance Administrators in processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
8. Assist in yearly budgeting process
9. Assist in updating project related financial data in the project management system
10. Assist with Government surveys and reporting
Experience and knowledge
1. Minimum of ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualified/part-qualified
2. Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting environment
3. Management Accounts
4. Previous knowledge working on Sage/SAP
5. Knowledge of ERP systems
6. Previous experience working in construction/engineering would be beneficial but not essential
