An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Physiotherapy role at Holywell Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, Langley House, Watford.
Holywell is a rehabilitation unit serving patients in the West Hertfordshire area. The caseload is mainly people with Stroke, but also other complex neurological conditions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and dynamic Physiotherapist to share the leadership of a team of Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants alongside the band 7 Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping patients to improve their quality of life and who can collaborate well with the team.
You will be working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team and your role will also involve supporting and developing junior staff and students.
As a developing service, there are ample opportunities for service development, building supervision and leadership competencies. Formal development and training opportunities are available through the CLCH Academy. Close links are maintained with the other bed based rehabilitation units and neuro services within Hertfordshire to support service development and share learning.
This post is 37.5 hours a week - part time or flexible hours will be considered. There is seven-day working on the unit. The weekend rota is expected to be 1:6.
The post holder will be required to:
Be an active member of the neuro rehabilitation multi-disciplinary team on Holywell Ward
Provide highly specialist assessments and treatments of patients who require specialist neuro rehabilitation
Take a lead role for physiotherapy on the neuro rehabilitation unit working closely with the, clinical therapy lead, Matron and other senior members of the multidisciplinary team
Provide the supervision and line management of junior staff, including rotational staff, rehabilitation assistants and students
Work within professional standards and clinical guidelines, promoting best practice and undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner
Ensure a high standard of physiotherapy practice on the unit
Support self and staff development through active participation in continuing professional development (CPD) and by participating in research or audit being undertaken by the service
