Supervisors Pipework Based at Deeside With a track record of 50 years in the nuclear energy sector, Boccard is ideally placed to serve this new era of nuclear as a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction and maintenance across the energy industry. To support our continued growth, Boccard are looking forexperienced Pipework Supervisors to work at our new fully digital manufacturing plant in Deeside. These roles will s upport the Fabrication Production Manager in driving project schedules to ensure delivery on time and on budget while ensuring adherence to company HSE and quality systems. Our Supervisors will have 10 direct reports, whose role is it to perform welds/fitting at each stage of the manufacture of stainless-steel pipe spools ready for installation at Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station. To be considered, you must have the following: Previous supervisory experience Excellent working knowledge and experience with Steelwork & Pipework Fabrication Practices Understanding Material Take Offs Ability to Read Isometric Drawings Issuing workpacks and job orders to the production hall Dimensional checking of completed fabrications Key accountabilities include : Actively working alongside the management team implementing and driving improvements Adherence to all policies and procedures including health and safety rules and regulations Maintaining housekeeping Maintaining a safe working environment at all times Assist with the training of others where competency in trade allows; Responsible for ensuring the day to day activities within the fabrication facility are completed on time, to process to ensure standards and targets are met and maintained; Full understanding of build sequence and priorities of the project schedule; Management of first line of discipline for shop floor personnel, able to recognize where employees are falling short of expectations and address the issue to ensure an improvement To have motivational characteristics ensuring the fabrication divisions objectives are achieved, including a knowledge of Total Quality Management and its implementation Applicants will becomputer literate, have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a diverse team. Organised with the ability to prioritise workload, and looking to work in afast paced, exciting, growing business. Working in a newly set up manufacturing facility, which is fully digital the environment is clean, efficient with the overriding focus onsafe working practices.Hours of work are 07:00 to 15:30 Mon to Thurs and 07:00 to 12:30 Friday.
