About this role and you: We are seeking someone with a friendly personality, positive attitude and a can-do work ethic to join our established café team. To be successful you’ll need to be energetic and have a passion for quality food, local ingredients and produce that complements our excellent products and service. This role will be a full time role working as the chef, creating simple but tasty dishes within our established Café at our Lifestyle Store at Brockhills Barns, Harbertonford, just outside Totnes. Work patterns would vary and would include weekends, with working hours that range between 8.00am – 6.00pm, but would tend to be more fixed to working earlier in the day. In the future there may also be the occasional functions at night. You would create delicious and wholesome “homemade” foods, with ingredients sourced via local suppliers and producers. Our Menus are simple but interesting which includes a seasonal brunch, lunch and small plates option. Sustainability sits at the heart of everything nkuku stands for, so by using local suppliers and a “Waste not” concept means you will need to be clever in how ingredients are used and repurposed.
