An aerospace manufacturing and MRO business requires a Procurement Manager. Applicants need experience in procurement, contract management, and end-to-end commercial activities within an aerospace manufacturing, MRO, or aviation setting.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading commercial activity, both upstream with customers and downstream to supplier and supply chain partners. Managing both procurement and commercial resources, the Procurement Manager will help drive growth, deliver excellent customer service, and offer a robust contract management (supplier and customer) offering to the business.
Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include:
1. Lead all procurement and contracting activities for the business, including contract negotiations and developing relationships with suppliers and customers.
2. Supply market intelligence and commercial insights generation around pricing, competitors, and opportunities.
3. Develop procurement and commercial procedures, processes, SOPs, KPIs, etc.
4. Support Sales and Business Development activities.
5. Monitor and analyze performance of customer accounts.
6. Develop procurement and inventory management strategies, ensuring optimal levels of stock are held.
7. Supplier selection, negotiation, and post-signature supplier relationship management.
8. Manage procurement and commercial teams.
Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Expertise as a Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Commercial Manager, or Contracts Manager.
2. Experience within aviation, aerospace manufacturing, or aircraft MRO industries.
3. Demonstrable experience of supporting BD, bids, customer success, or work winning activities.
4. Knowledge of the aerospace MRO and manufacturing supplier landscape.
5. Leadership skills, influencing, and gravitas.
