Overview:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives across multiple projects and office locations. The role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards while fostering a culture of safety, sustainability, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Wellbeing:
* Lead and advocate for wellbeing initiatives across all projects and office environments.
* Provide expert advice and support on health and wellbeing matters, ensuring alignment with management systems and client requirements.
* Deliver targeted health and wellbeing training sessions for project teams.
* Promote health-focused initiatives and best practices, offering coaching where necessary.
Safety:
* Oversee and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
* Conduct routine safety inspections and audits, ensuring implementation of corrective actions.
* Assess risk evaluations, method statements, and Work Package Plans to align with operational activities.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to safety advisors and contractors, ensuring accurate reporting and investigation of incidents.
Environmental Compliance:
* Drive environmental sustainability by ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
* Conduct environmental audits and training sessions, embedding best practices within project teams.
* Offer guidance on environmental issues in alignment with management systems and industry requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma or equivalent qualification.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation within infrastructure sectors such as rail, tunnelling, and power.
* Experience in Senior HSE Advisory roles within a Tier 1/2 organisation, with a minimum of three years in a construction discipline
* Strong understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards.
* Proven track record in leading safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
* Full UK driving license with flexibility to travel across Southern UK, including occasional night and weekend shifts.
