The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of construction projects.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods, and thriving communities.
About the Position
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate, or soon to be graduate Project Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a university/TAFE student who has or has just completed their studies in project management, architecture, or other relevant building construction related disciplines, or is progressing towards a relevant tertiary qualification and looking to gain hands-on experience in a client-side construction project management role.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Graduate Project Officer will include but are not limited to:
1. Assist in the planning and delivery of capital projects on City-owned facilities and infrastructure.
2. Support the Project Management team in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
3. Contribute to the preparation of project management documentation and contract administration.
4. Aid in the design, cost management, quality control, and monitoring of project programs.
5. Ensure compliance with the City’s policies and procedures.
6. Maintain a safe working environment for all employees and contractors on nominated projects.
About You

1. Demonstrates project management and contract administration skills (desirable).
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
3. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
4. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
5. Intermediate skills in AutoCAD or Revit (desirable but not essential).
6. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety principles and Project Management methodologies (desirable).
7. Understanding of Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia (desirable).

This temporary full-time position is a Level 5 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $77,514 gross pro-rata per annum plus superannuation.

1. A copy of your Australian driving licence.
2. National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
3. Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
4. The right to work in Australia.
