The duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Promoting independence and enabling service users to do as much as possible themselves
2. Enabling Service Users to undertake daily living tasks
3. Responding to emergencies where appropriate/required
4. Aiding with personal care such as dressing/undressing, bathing, eating, toileting/continence care and nail care, etc.
5. Assisting Service users with mobility such as turning and positioning in bed/chair and transferring
6. Ensuring all records are kept up to date and are filled in correctly
7. Reporting any concerns to the appropriate person
8. Attending appointments with service users
9. Domestic duties such as cleaning rooms, cleaning windows, cleaning toilets, mopping floors, cleaning communal areas, ironing, and attending to laundry.
10. Preparing and serving meals. Cleaning up after meals
11. Aiding with using the phone social/recreational/leisure activities
12. Administering medications and keeping accurate records of this. (Only staff who have been trained can administer medications)
13. Assisting with new members of the staff team
14. Being key worker to a service user(s)
15. Maintaining knowledge of and demonstrating the safe use of care equipment and supplies
16. Attending regular training sessions and ensuring your training is kept up to date

Working Patterns:
4 shifts per week consisting of 2 days and 2 sleep in shifts.
Part time shifts available to be discussed at interview.
Day shift- 9am-6pm
Sleep in shift- 6pm-9am (sleep 10pm/11pm- 7am)
