Role: Support Worker
Location: Haywards Heath, RH16
Salary: £11.75 to £12.20 per hour
Support Worker experience with Autism and LD preferred. Having experience in epilepsy would be advantageous.
A permanent role. To work every Friday & Saturday night. 12 hours per shift - 24 hour contract.
Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a popular business within the healthcare industry and we have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Support Worker role to join their team.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing the best possible support to people with a Learning Disability and/or Autism and/or Acquired Brain Injury.
2. Promoting a person-centered approach to support planning, monitoring, and reviewing of their needs and wishes.
3. Ensuring compliance with supported living regulations, Health & Safety law, and various bodies such as CQC & Local Authority.
4. Providing general care and support as per individual requirements outlined in their Support Plan.
5. Supporting customers with personal care, medication needs, and access to relevant healthcare.
6. Assisting customers in attending meaningful daytime occupations and leisure activities.
7. Encouraging customers to maintain and develop relationships with family, friends, and professionals.
8. Updating documentation accurately, such as Daily Notes.
9. Supporting customers in decision-making and accountability.
10. Maintaining good working relationships within the team and with relevant stakeholders.
11. Working shifts, including sleeping in and waking night duties, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
12. Complying with policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of service users.
13. Maintaining confidentiality regarding service users, records, and third-party information.
14. Attending and completing training sessions and staff meetings as required.
15. Acting as a keyworker for customers if required.
16. Identifying maintenance and security issues and reporting them to Head Office.
17. Undertaking domestic chores to maintain a hygienically clean standard.
18. Delivering services with respect and commitment to equal opportunities.
19. Meeting Health and Safety requirements of the company and the law.
20. Complying with all protocols and policies to promote health and safety.
21. Undertaking any other necessary duties consistent with the objectives of the role as required by the Service Manager.
