Job Description
Role: Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Location: AssetCool HQ, Leeds with global travel
Purpose:
· To bring manufacturing/process engineering experience and expertise to AssetCool.
· To be responsible for AssetCool’s proprietary overhead powerline coating production line installed at customers facilities and in the field.
· To manage the build out of production facilities at AssetCool HQ, including coating production equipment, robotics line production and other site/industrial matters.
· To generally assist with the scaling and development of AssetCool’s operations.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer or Manager with hands on experience of implementing new technologies including the introduction and development of manufacturing machinery and processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in continuous industrial finishing/coating processes or similar.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in implementing and optimising AssetCool’s coating and manufacturing processes, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards and maintaining the customer relationship.
You will also be responsible for supporting the scaling of AssetCool’s internal operations. Responsibilities will include:
· Management of the implementation of AssetCool’s coating application technology at the customer
· Build out AssetCool’s rapidly scaling domestic manufacturing operations, including coating production plant and robotic production lines
· Manufacturing process development and optimisation
· Authoring of customer visit reports and technology status reports
· Development of process control plans
· Development of operating procedures
· Creation of machine and process specification
· Manufacturing partner selection and development
· Supplier selection and development
· Customer (and in-house) engineer and operator training
· Input to, and development of, the manufacturing strategy
· Project management
· Supporting R&D with process feedback
· Supporting R&D with design for manufacture
· Supporting the development of the QMS (Quality Management System)
· Supporting the implementation and development of business systems
· Management of future technical/operational personnel
· Ensure compliance with standards, identify issues, recommend solutions, and create quality documentation.
Prerequisites:
· Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
· Background in industrial finishing or coating application or similar/allied field.
· Minimum degree level education in a relevant Engineering subject.
· Ability to fault find machinery and enact modifications and repairs.
· Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience in creation, implementation and management of MSRA (Method Statement Risk Assessment).
· Experience in implementation, maintenance, and overseeing safety and environmental regulations, procedures, and practices.
· Willingness to travel globally.
· Project management experience.
· Basic use of engineering design software.
