We have an opportunity for a part-time advanced well-being instructor to join our team. The position will support delivery specifically at our Berwick Infirmary site.
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Deliver gym inductions at hospital site gyms.
* Identify physical activity goals, design and monitor personalized programmes.
* Induct to the gym facilities, provide fitness programmes and monitor progress, assisting staff to increase their physical activity and improve their overall wellbeing.
* Deliver fitness classes and personal training both in-person and virtually to meet the needs and goals of the members.
* Work with referral cases from other services including physiotherapy and psychology.
* Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape a collective leadership culture within the trust.

Main Duties of the Job
Identifying and engaging with individuals who have well-being membership and encouraging those who do not have membership to join. Attending engagement events to raise awareness of the well-being offer across the whole trust.
Supporting individuals to make informed choices about their health and well-being and assisting them in initiating and sustaining appropriate behavioral changes to improve their health.
Helping people to find and use the right services to support health improvement.
Identifying new referral pathways and strengthening existing ones into the Wellbeing Service.
Work with the Activity and Wellbeing Coordinator to undertake capacity building work.
Support the delivery of an activity and well-being plan which incorporates a range of opportunities for staff to engage in well-being related activities within the gym and wellness facilities.
Record and report activities and results including presentation of progress to the Wellbeing business manager.
Manage and support the responsibilities and outcomes of Fitness / Gym instructor roles.
Contribute to the safe running of the staff gym and well-being facilities, ensuring all processes, policies, and procedures are adhered to.
Promote well-being services to staff and contribute to raising the profile in our communities.
Contribute to the safe management of the hospital gym suites and well-being areas (indoors and outdoors).

Job Responsibilities
Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape a collective leadership culture within the trust.
Maintain appropriate records in relation to Northumbria Wellbeing members, ensuring that data/information is collected and stored appropriately and in line with relevant sector/legislative guidelines.
As part of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's multi-disciplinary team, contribute to the implementation of appropriate well-being activities that support projects, awards, and recognition events in relation to the provision of a healthy working environment.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Level 3 health-related qualification or equivalent plus experience to diploma level or equivalent.
* First Aid Qualification.
* Certificate/Professional qualification in a related area e.g., Exercise referral, Nutrition, Obesity, and weight management.
* Degree in a health-related subject e.g., Sports Science.
* Exercise qualifications specific to special population groups.
* Registration with a professional body e.g., CIMSPA.
Other Requirements
* It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner or able to use the car for work purposes.
Experience
* Experience of working with local community groups, health sector, or voluntary sector in some capacity.

Salary: £26,530 to £29,114 a year pro rata per annum.
