We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Learning Disability Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Highpoint, a category C Prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk. Highpoint is a male prison with a capacity of 1370 males.

Hours: This role is a permanent position based on 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm with some weekends / Bank Holidays.
Salary: This position is full time, with an annual salary between £42,094.00 - £47,466.00 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing:
* Have responsibility for a caseload and be accountable for all aspects of delivering a nursing service for adults with learning disabilities/challenging behaviour, within the criminal justice setting.
* Work with adults whose behaviours have resulted in their offending and coming into contact with the criminal justice system.
* Work with the multi-disciplinary team to undertake person-centred specialist behavioural assessments, planning, and coordination of positive non-aversive behavioural approaches to service users.

Qualifications & Experience required:
* Registered Nurse - Learning Disabilities / NMC
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Substantial experience working with adults with Learning disabilities with a range of clinical presentations
* Evidence of working in Learning disability health within a community or inpatient setting.
* Evidence of use of a range of standardized and non-standardized behavioural assessment tools supporting clinical reasoning.
