Daily Role Requirements This is a hands-on role for an Integration Developer who wants to be part of a new product-driven organisation and influence the development, build and ongoing upkeep of ISG’s core applications and the creation of an integration hub.. In this role, you will take charge of ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of an Integration hub, collaborating closely with a talented team of AppOps & DevOps engineers who collectively own the support and enhancement of all core business applications and their supporting platforms as well as collaborating with Portfolio and Product Owners to create a roadmap of integration updates. Strategic Planning and Design : Lead the design and architecture of robust and scalable integration solutions using Azure Integration Services (AIS) including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus. Ensure that these solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with industry best practices. Advanced Requirements Analysis : Collaborate with senior stakeholders from departments such as Procurement, HR, and Finance to understand complex integration requirements. Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and comprehensive integration plans. Expert Data Mapping and Transformation : Develop and maintain sophisticated data mappings, transformation logic, and integration workflows between our core applications. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all integrated systems. Comprehensive Integration Testing : Develop and oversee the execution of rigorous integration testing plans to ensure data flows and processes function correctly. Identify and resolve any complex issues or discrepancies discovered during testing. Performance Optimization : Ensure high availability and performance of integration solutions by implementing best practices for monitoring, logging, and error handling. Utilise advanced tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and other performance management tools to track system performance and resolve issues proactively. Troubleshooting and Advanced Support : Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly, including complex and critical incidents. Provide expert technical support and guidance to internal teams, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Complete Documentation : Maintain “just enough” documentation for integration solutions, including architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications. Ensure documentation is concise, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Continuous Improvement and Innovation : Stay current with the latest Azure technologies and integration best practices. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance integration solutions, streamline processes, and adopt new tools and techniques. Lead initiatives to innovate and improve integration methodologies and practices. Security and Compliance Leadership : Work with our cyber team to ensure that integration solutions adhere to the highest standards of security policies and compliance requirements. Implement necessary security measures to protect sensitive data during integration processes. Lead Projects : Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, and other team members to ensure successful project outcomes. Mentorship and Team Leadership : Mentor and guide others, providing technical leadership and fostering a collaborative team environment. Share knowledge and best practices to help develop the skills and capabilities of the team. Comfortable working within a geographically distributed team Required Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Proven experience as an Integration Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on Azure Integration Services. Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus. Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and data exchange formats such as JSON and XML. Extensive experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Significant experience with HR systems, particularly Workday, is a plus. Experience with Procurement systems, particularly SmartSource is preferable. Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as C#, Python, or PowerShell. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to align effectively with stakeholders at all levels and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly learn innovative technologies and business processes. Experience working in an agile environment, following agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Preferred Experience: Proven experience as an AppOps Engineer or in a similar role, demonstrating the ability to support, improve and implement complex business applications. Azure certifications such as Azure Developer Associate and/or Azure Solutions Architect. Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Storage. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Demonstrable experience in being a leader in project and team development. What's in it for you?
