QT Education seeks an English specialist for a secondary academy converter school in South Gloucestershire. This school has gone through much change over the years and is now proud to be rated ‘good’ by Ofsted. A mixed 11 to 16 school with approximately 1000 students on roll.
Role:
* Responsible for teaching KS3 English
* To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher
* To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
* To contribute to raising standards of student attainment
* To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth
* Create a positive learning environment
* Use a wide range of teaching and learning strategies that will stimulate learning
* Prepare lessons which meet the learning needs of students
* Actively contribute to events
* Contribute and respond to departmental plans
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of lessons and schemes of learning
Experience, Qualifications and Training:
* We seek a qualified and enthusiastic teacher of English
* Must be appropriately qualified – QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
* Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential). Training will be provided.
* Suitable role for experienced teachers and early career teachers (ECT)

Eligibility to work in a teaching role:
* Holds Right to Work in the UK
* Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
* Enhanced DBS with Barred List check certificate which is either on the online ‘Update Service’ or be willing to apply for a new DBS certificate
