Group Sustainability & Internal Communications Executive
The Group Sustainability and Internal Communications Executive is responsible for ensuring Pelsis takes appropriate actions to meet its sustainability goals and commitments, as well as external customer and reporting obligations for each country where Pelsis sites are located.
Close working relationships exist and should be maintained with the Group EHS Manager, and senior members of the Portfolio team, to support measuring our carbon footprint and taking steps to reduce, both in relation to our own operations and of our products, as well as taking actions on other areas such as packaging.
The role is also instrumental in driving and supporting internal communications activities, including supporting the CHRO and working with the CTO on CEO communications (primarily town halls and newsletters), developing a calendar of ‘world days’ and associated activities (e.g., World Pest Day, International Day for Biodiversity, International Men’s Day/Movember, International Women’s Day, Earth Day, major festivals, etc.), actions to support employee engagement activities, and annual conferences and major internal events.
This role is instrumental in supporting Pelsis’ Vision of providing world-class sustainable and innovative pest management solutions, providing peace of mind, protecting public health, and working in harmony with nature. It also plays an important part in ensuring that Pelsis’ Values of One Team, Excellent, Performance Drive, and Customer Centric are front and centre in everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability:
* Coordinating and managing data input to our carbon measurement tool by ensuring operations teams accurately capture our emissions.
* Product carbon footprint measurement – work with the supply chain team on the carbon footprint of key retail products in response to customer enquiries.
* Double materiality assessment to support CSRD and CBAM reporting in 2026 on 2025 data.
* Work with CTO and Finance team on Sustainability reporting for FY 2025.
* Ensure compliance with evolving regional and global sustainability reporting requirements.
* Provide input and coordination into the sustainable packaging initiative and relevant certifications for retail products as well as steps to reduce packaging waste and use of plastics across all product lines.
* Advising and supporting locations on sustainability initiatives.
* Respond to customer queries regarding sustainability actions, in consultation with Sales teams.
* Sustainability accreditations – identifying the appropriate accreditations for our business (including FSC and PEFC). Support the business in obtaining ISO 14001 accreditation across all target sites.
Internal Communications:
* Create overarching internal communications strategy with the input of marketing and sales leads to support business objectives.
* Establish and oversee global calendar, including template activities for significant agreed ‘world days’.
* Support regions and functions with use and best practice of the Internal Comms Hub.
* Own front page in conjunction with Group Marketing.
* Coordinate and manage quarterly online Townhalls and newsletters.
* Provide internal communications advice and core collateral to the business, e.g., for safety campaigns.
* Provide significant support and input on major internal comms events, e.g., Global leadership and sales conferences.
Skills and Experience for this Role Include:
* Understanding of sustainability requirements and reporting, including relevant legislation.
* Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role in a medium to large global organisation, ideally with a relevant degree qualification.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytics and sound judgment.
* High energy, curious and resilient.
* Languages – Native-level English, ideally with a good working knowledge of other European languages e.g., French, German, Dutch.
