First Task Professional are currently partnering with a highly reputable civil engineering business based in Scotland to help them find a skilled Site Engineer to join their growing team. Our client is a well-established civil engineering company known for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Central Belt of Scotland. They specialize in a range of services including roads and infrastructure, earthworks, drainage, landscape, and environmental works. With a strong reputation in the industry, they focus on sustainable, efficient, and innovative solutions that meet the needs of their clients. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of civil engineering projects on-site. You will manage daily operations, oversee construction activities, and ensure that all works are completed to the highest standards while adhering to safety regulations, project specifications, and budgets. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise on-site civil engineering activities, including setting out, groundworks, heavy civils, and other core engineering tasks. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth operations. Review engineering designs and technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Monitor and report on site progress, highlighting any issues or delays and implementing corrective actions where necessary. Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Provide technical guidance and support to site staff and other engineers. Assist with the preparation of site reports, progress updates, and other project documentation. Skills & Qualifications: A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent). Proven experience in setting out, groundworks, heavy civils, and other core civil engineering duties. Strong understanding of civil engineering construction processes, particularly in roads, earthworks, drainage, and environmental works. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office). Full UK driving license (as travel to various sites in the Central Belt of Scotland will be required).
